ぼくのしゅうまつ

こんにちは、みんなさん。

きんようびにごじごろぼくはテニスしました。でも、きんようびはかぜがつよい[was windy]。へやでSUBWAYをたべました。そして、アニメをみました。にほんごのポケットモンスタをしました。くじごろともだちのへやにいきました。じゅうじごろぼくはとともだちはHALOをしました。ごぜんにじにねました。しゅくだいをしませんでした。

どようびにじゅういちじはんにおきました。そして、シャーワをあびました。じゅうにじじゅうごふんにぼくはとともだちはTAILGATEにいきました。さんじごろフットボールをみました。しちじじゅうごふんにしょくどうにばんごはんをたべました。ともだちのへやにいきました。そして、テレビをみました。じゅうじごろぼくのへやにかえりました。そして、アニメをみました。しゅくだいをしませんでした。じゅうにじさんじゅっぷんにともだちのへやにいきます。ごせんにじよんじゅうごふんごろねました。

きゅうじゅういちじはんにおきました。そして、シャーワをあびました。じゅうにじじゅうごふんごろぼくはとともだちはしょくどうであさごはんをたべました。いちじごろともだちのへやにいきました。そして、テレビをみました。にじにぼくのへやにかえりました。そして、しゅくだいをしました。ごじにとしょかんでにほんごのしゅくだいをします。かようびににテストがあります。きょうはおいそがしいです[will be busy]。

ラジオの時間

こんにちは、みなさん。

きのうラジオの時間をみました。そして、はじめてすしをたべました。すごいでした。

For those of you who can't read this (or are too lazy to translate it), it says that I saw Welcome Back, Mr. McDonald and that I ate sushi for the first time yesterday. It was quite the experience. The movie was SO funny, and it was great being able to try sushi (I'll definitely have to try it again some time). One thing I didn't realize, though, was that Ken Watanabe (he played Saito in Inception) also made an appearance as the truck driver. My favorite part of the movie was Makoto Tatsumi without a doubt. Now I want to try making all the sound effects he did...

ぼくはまいにちごぜんはちじにじゅうごふんにおきます。シャワーをあびます、そしてあさごはんをたべます。くじさんじゅうごふんにじゅぎょうがあります。じゅうじよんじゅっぷんににほんごをあります。うちにかえります。ぼくはいちじごじゅうごふんに びせきぶんがくとぶつりがくあります。さんじごじゅっぷんうちにかえります。ろくじごろしょくどでばんごはんをたべます。しちじごろうちでべんきょうします。にじゅうじでろねます。

じこじょうかい

はじめました。ゴメスです。ぼくはあめりかじんです。にねんせいです。せんこうわこんぴゅうたこおがくとにほんごです。どおぞよろしく。

One of my favorite Japanese/anime movies is Grave of the Fireflies. Isao Takahata wrote the screenplay and directed the movie, but it was based on a novel with the same name written by Akiyuki Nosaka. Considered to be one of the best anti-war animated films ever, the story follows Seita and his younger sister Setsuko through the end of World War II. After the children lose their father and mother, they must go live with their distant aunt. However, they begin to run out of rice and other foods, so the aunt becomes increasingly cold and resentful, and the two decide to take up shelter in an abandoned bomb shelter. At first, their new situation looks good, but they begin to run out of food and necessities, leaving Seita to resort to theft. I won't talk any more about the plot because it is a very good (albeit incredibly sad) story and I would hate to ruin it for anyone who has not seen it and wants to. But before you watch it, I must warn you, it is quite possibly the saddest movie you will ever watch.
